Steak Marinade Recipes

People, who love red meat, mainly beef, would relish a steak dinner. A steak is a slice from a large piece of meat that is cut perpendicular to the muscle fibers. If you are health conscious, have grilled or broiled steak instead of fried ones. A grilled or barbecued steak along with a bowl of green salad would make a complete meal.
Italian Steak Marinade
Italian steak marinade recipes use Italian dressings such as steak sauce, pineapple juice, soy sauce, honey garlic and sometimes, pineapple chunks. Here is a simple Italian steak marinade recipe.
Ingredients:
1 Lbs steak
4 to 5 Tbsp vegetable oil and olive oil
1 Tbsp lemon juice
Tbsp honey and garlic
Salt and pepper to taste
Method:
Mix all the ingredients together to make a paste. Rub it on both sides of the steak and keep it in the chill compartment of your refrigerator. The steak has to be marinated for almost 24 hrs before cooking. Once in a while, flip the steak over in the dish to ensure both sides are equally marinated.
Black Pepper Steak Marinade
This recipe uses pepper and tomato paste to marinate the steak. It is favored by people who love the aroma and taste of black pepper.
Ingredients:
2 Tsp honey
1 Tsp herb
5 Tbsp tomato paste or puree
Cup lemon juice
1 Tbsp red wine or vinegar
1 Lbs steak
Crushed black pepper to suit your taste.
Method:
Mix all the ingredients together with cup of lemon juice. Arrange the slices of steak on a flat plate. Pour this mixture over the steak and refrigerate for almost 10 hrs. In between, flip the steak slices, so both sides are soaked well.
Shallot and Herb Steak Marinade
The main ingredients of this steak marinade recipe are the shallots and herbs. It is revered by people who love the taste of shallots and aroma of the herbs when the steak is grilled or fried.
Ingredients:
2 to 3 Medium-sized shallots crushed or minced
Soy sauce
1/3 Cup vegetable oil
2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
3 Tbsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp dried thyme leaves or oregano
Method:
Mix all ingredients to form a paste. Smear on both sides of the steak. Place the steak in a plastic container and refrigerate till you take it out to cook. Overnight marination is the best.
Barbecue Steak Marinade
This marinade uses barbecue sauce to marinate the steak. This is a mouthwatering steak marinade recipe that uses Italian salad dressing.
Ingredients:
2 Pounds steak
1 Cup barbecue sauce
Cup Worcestershire sauce
2 Tsp garlic and pepper seasoning
1 Cup Italian salad dressing
Method:
In a flat plate, mix all the ingredients to make a barbecue paste. Place the steak on the plate and rub the paste all over it. Repeat this for the second side also. Cover the plate with an aluminum foil and refrigerate overnight or at least for 4 to 5 hours. Before you place it on a barbecue grill, remove it from the chill compartment.
Do not leave the marinated steak outside for long; it is wise to refrigerate the marinated meat immediately. The reason is the meat can turn rancid, if the atmospheric temperature is warm.
